DURHAM, N.C. -- The Duke baseball game against No. 2 Miami on Sunday, March 30 at Jack Coombs Field, was cancelled midway through the bottom of the first inning due to rain. The game will not be rescheduled.

The Blue Devils (21-7, 4-7 ACC) had staked a 1-0 lead over the second-ranked Hurricanes (21-2, 8-1 ACC) thanks to an RBI triple from Gabriel Saade in the bottom of the first, but the rain began to come down just after Saade settled on third base.

With the rainout, Miami takes the series two games to one after picking a 7-5 victory in extra innings on Friday before claiming an 8-1 win on Saturday.

The Blue Devils will look to even out their ACC record next weekend as they make their second road trip of the season to Chestnut Hill, Mass., for a three-game series agaisnt ACC foe Boston College. Game one of the series will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 4 with a pair of 1 p.m. meetings following on Saturday and Sunday.
