Blue Devils Host UAA in Final Exhibition Tilt on Sunday

DURHAM, N.C. - Exhibition action will come to a close on Sunday, Nov. 8 as the preseason sixth-ranked Duke women's basketball team will host Alaska Anchorage at 2:00 p.m., in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Alaska Anchorage is coming off its best season in school history with a 31-4 overall record and back-to-back NCAA Division II Final Four appearances. The Seawolves are preseason ranked No. 8 nationally in the USA Today/ESPN Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll as Alaska Anchorage returns seven letterwinners and three starters.
Head Coach Tim Moser is in his fourth season with Alaska Anchorage and has posted an 84-15 record during his stint. Returning starters for the Seawolves include Kiki Taylor (6.2 points), Tamar Gruwell (7.0 points) and Nicci Miller (10.5 points).
Following the Alaska Anchorage game on Sunday, Duke will feature three days of practice before traveling to Houston, Texas on Thursday, Nov. 12. The Blue Devils will open the regular season on Friday, Nov. 13 at Houston Baptist. The Blue Devils will play the Huskies at 8:30 p.m., before traveling to College Station, Texas to take on Texas A&M on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 3:00 p.m. Both times are Eastern.
Duke will have its home opener on Thursday, Nov. 19 against Georgia Southern. Season tickets can be purchased by heading to GoDuke.com, or by calling the ticket office at 1-877-375-DUKE or 919-681-2583.
