Duke Travels To Miami
Duke (5-5, 3-3 ACC) will go on the road to face nationally-ranked [21/24] Miami (7-3, 4-3 ACC) on Saturday, Nov. 21. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 noon (ET) at Land Shark Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPNU with Clay Matvick calling the play-by-play and David Diaz-Infante providing the color commentary. The Blue Devils lost to No. 7 Georgia Tech, 49-10, last weekend. The Hurricanes are coming off a 33-24 loss at North Carolina a week ago.
Last Time Out
The Blue Devils took a 10-0 first quarter lead but could not stop the Georgia Tech offense as the Yellow Jackets scored 49 straight points to end the game. No. 7 Georgia Tech compiled 519 yards of total offense while holding Duke to 281 in the game. The Yellow Jackets outgained the Blue Devils, 306-25, on the ground. Josh Nesbitt completed just six passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for another score. Jonathan Dwyer had 110 yards on 14 carries with two touchdowns. Re'quan Boyette led Duke with six catches for 65 yards and one touchdown.

Last Meeting
The Hurricanes scored 35 straight points after trailing 24-14 in the third quarter. Miami’s Jacory Harris came off the bench to throw for 185 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for another score. Seven different Hurricanes scored touchdowns in the 49-31 win. Duke’s Thaddeus Lewis threw two touchdown passes and ran for another to lead the Blue Devils.

- 5 - Senior defensive end Ayanga Okpokowuruk leads the team and ranks tied for sixth in the ACC with five sacks. He has a sack in three straight games and had five career sacks in his first three seasons combined.
- 6 - Senior cornerback Leon Wright has five interceptions and one fumble recovery for six total takeaways. He ranks tied for second in the ACC in interceptions and now has 10 career picks to rank tied for sixth in school history.
- 10 - All five of senior safety Catron Gainey’s career double digit tackle performances have come in the month of November (2 in 2007; 1 in 2008; 2 in 2009). He has 10 or more tackles in each of the last two games.
- 12 - Junior walk-on Will Snyderwine has made 12 field goals this season to rank tied for 10th in school history for a single season. He is 12-of-14 (.857) to rank third in the ACC in field goal percentage.
- 14 - Duke has 14 different players this season who have earned their first collegiate starts. Sophomore walk-on Alex King was the 14th, handling the team’s punting duties last weekend.
- 20 - The Blue Devils have held five opponents under 20 points this season, marking the first time since 1994.

- 146 - Wright’s 146 interception return yards rank as the fourth most in the nation this season and are also the fourth most in a single season in Duke history.
- 240 - Lewis needs 240 passing yards to break the school record for passing yards in a career. Ben Bennett is the current record holder with 9,614 passing yards. Lewis is only 87 yards away from climbing into fifth place in ACC history.
- 360 - With 360 passing yards, Lewis will become just the third quarterback in school history to pass for 3,000 yards in one season. Anthony Dilweg holds the single season record with 3,824 yards and Bennett had back-to-back 3,000-yard seasons in 1982 and 1983.
- 600 - Vernon is only the seventh freshman in ACC history with 600 receiving yards. He is eight yards shy of Octavus Barnes for sixth all-time and 59 yards away from fourth most.
- 2,640 - Lewis has thrown for 2,640 yards this year, the seventh highest single-season total in school history and a career high.
