Chris Alston was named Director of Football Marketing in January of 2014.
Alston is responsible for the marketing and promotions of the Duke Football program, including all game day promotions and atmosphere enhancement programs, ticket sales and awareness campaigns, and the coordination of the department’s football advertising efforts.
Prior to coming to Duke, Alston worked in the NC State athletics marketing department for 13 years, most recently as Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Fan Development.
A native of Petersburgh, N.Y., Alston earned his B.S. in Sports Information and Communication and a minor in Computer Information Science from Ithaca College in 2000. While at Ithaca, Alston worked for the Cornell sports information department and the Syracuse athletics marketing department. He, his wife Kristie and daughters Lily and Emma currently reside in Wake Forest.
