2015-16: Participated in five competitions during the outdoor campaign as a javelin specialist…finished fifth at the Duke Invitational (4/23) with a 181-6 (55.32) showing…took sixth at the Battle of the Blues (4/2) after sending the javelin 176-8 (53.86)…tossed the javelin 170-7 (52.00) to claim ninth at the Spec Towns Invite (4/9)…took two top-10 finishes at the ACC Outdoor Championships (5/15) and the Raleigh Relays (3/26), finishing 10th after throwing the javelin 187-0 (57.00) and 177-7 (54.14), respectively…named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll for the second consecutive year.
2014-15: Competed four times as a javelin specialist during his rookie season at Duke…Outdoors, tossed a season-best 186-0 (56.69) to finish ninth at the Duke Twilight (5/7)…debuted for the Blue Devils at the Carolina Relays (3/20), placing fourth with a 179-0 (54.58) showing…took seventh at the Duke Invitational (4/11) after sending the javelin 172-1 (52.46)…did not compete during the 2015 indoor season…earned a spot on the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Prior to Duke: Lettered four years in track & field at Holmdel High School in Holmdel, N.J., under the tutelage of coach Scott Cannon…was team captain as a junior and senior…earned MVP honors as a sophomore and senior…won gold in the javelin throw at the 2014 New Jersey Group II State Championships…earned a spot on the 2014 Newark Star Ledger All-Group II first team…lettered four years in swimming and served as team captain as a senior…member of the National Honor Society and the National Spanish Honor Society…was an AP Scholar and a National Merit Commended Scholar.
