2016-17: Competed in seven meetings during the outdoor season as a javelin throw specialist…Earned five top ten finishes throughout the season, including a second place finish at the Pacific Coast Invitational (4/13)…Placed first at the ACC Outdoor Championships (5/14) with a season best toss of 212-11 (64.89)…Came in 25th at the NCAA East Preliminaries (5/27) to close out the season.
2015-16: Participated in seven competitions during the outdoor season as a javelin specialist…finished second at the Duke Invitational (4/23) with a 192-7 (58.69) showing…took fourth at the Battle of the Blues (4/2) after sending the javelin 198-8 (60.57)…tossed the javelin 196-11 (60.02) to claim seventh at the ACC Outdoor Championships (5/15)…finished 21st at the Penn Relays (4/30) with a 181-10 (55.44) effort…named to the Outdoor All-ACC Academic Team and the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Prior to Duke: Lettered three years in track & field at Scranton Prepatory School in Scranton, Pa., under the coaching guidance of Jeff Dorunda…also worked with personal javelin coaches Barry Krammes and John Kotchmar…graduated as the Scranton Prep school-record holder in the javelin…as a junior, received all-region, all-state and All-America status and was ranked fifth nationally in the javelin among high school student-athletes…threw a personal-best 215-8 (65.74) to finish runner-up at the 2014 Chicagoland Summer Throw Series…finished second at the 2014 New Balance Outdoor Nationals with a mark of 214-5 (65.35)…during his senior season, finished as all-region selection, highlighted by finishing third at the 2015 Penn Relays…also lettered two years as a quarterback for Scranton Prep…held seven school records in football at the time of his graduation…garnered all-region and all-state accolades as a senior…served as a team captain for the Scranton Prep mock trial team…member of the National Honor Society.
