Fall 2016: Played in two fall tournaments, at the ITA Carolina Regional in doubles and at the Charlotte 49ers Fall Invitational in singles and doubles … played to a 3-2 doubles record and 4-0 singles mark … ended his fall with the A1 singles title in Charlotte, winning all four of his singles matches in straight sets … won the championship with a 6-1, 7-6 (3) victory versus Winthrop’s Diego Quiroz … in doubles, teamed with TJ Pura and posted a 1-1 record at the ITA Carolina Regional, falling to Clemson’s Daffra Sanon and Igor Smelyanski 7-5, 6-4 and defeating the Presbyterian duo of Diego Manzanas and Brandon Mills, 6-3, 6-4 in the consolation round … at the Charlotte 49ers Fall Invitational, played with Ryan Dickerson and took the A2 flight consolation championship with a 6-2 victory against Davidson’s Shamael Chaudhry and J.B. Gough … went 2-1 overall with Dickerson.

Prior to Duke: A blue chip prospect from Sammamish High School who has been as high as No. 5 in the national rankings … held the top spot on the IMG TennisRPI rankings and has been in the top 10 since freshman year of high school … entered Duke with a universal tennis rating of 13.55 … during June of 2016, won four total qualifying draw matches at the Canada F3 and Canada F4 Futures events to advance to the main draw both times … played in the USA F12 Futures event in Memphis, Tenn., in April of 2016 and won three matches in the qualifying draw to move to the main draw … one of the victories was against ATP No. 912 player Jonas Luetjen, a former All-America at Ole Miss … a month earlier, in March, pushed ATP No. 430 Filip Peliwo to three sets before falling 6-4, 2-6, 4-6 … won two gold balls from junior national titles during career … took part in the February USTA National Selection Tournament in Arlington, Texas, and won first four matches to advance to the finals … in May of 2015, captured the USTA National Selection Tournament in Stanford, Calif., with five consecutive victories, including a 6-3, 6-1 victory in the finals versus Conner Hance … also earned one letter as a senior golfer at Sammamish, qualifying for the state championship.
