Bob Weiseman joined the Duke Athletic Department in January of 2008 and serves as the Associate Director of Athletics/Athletic Facilities, Game Operations and Championships.  He was promoted to his current role in July, 2017.

Weiseman started his Duke tenure with a two-year stint as the equipment manager for the lacrosse and soccer programs.  In 2010, Weiseman shifted into Duke’s Game Operations department as the Game Operations Manager.  Under Weiseman’s leadership, the Game Operations department has evolved significantly and began servicing all Duke home athletics events.  In July of 2012, Weiseman was promoted to Director of Athletic Facilities and Game Operations.  The department then expanded once again a year later to add planning and coordination of all ACC and NCAA Championships hosted on campus.

On the game operations and championships side, Weiseman and his staff service over 200 varsity athletic game days, 50 campus and outside events, and on average four ACC or NCAA championships annually.

With facilities, Weiseman is heavily involved in the daily maintenance of athletic facilities while serving as the athletics project manager for major capital projects.  He is also the lead athletic facilities liaison to Duke Facilities Management, Project Management, Grounds, Sanitation and Recycling, and Housekeeping.

Weiseman was honored by his peers as the 2012-13 Duke Excellence Award winner for demonstrating the true values of Duke Athletics in the office, on campus, and in the community.  Weiseman also was honored as the 2013 Duke Police Coveted Badge award recipient.  The award is provided to a civilian for providing extraordinary service to the Duke Police Department.  In 2017, Duke’s Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium earned a Facility of Merit Award as part of the National Sports Safety and Security Conference and Exhibition.

Weiseman came to Duke from Villanova University where he served in a variety of capacities from 2000-07 including media relations assistant (2000-01), assistant coordinator of marketing, promotions, and special events (2001-03) and assistant director of athletic facilities and operations (2004-05) and director of athletic facilities and operations (2005-07).

A native of Doylestown, Pa., Weiseman is a 2000 graduate of Lynchburg College with a major in communications studies and a minor in sports management. While at Lynchburg, Weiseman served as sports information intern and public address announcer for all Hornet programs from 1997-00. He is married to the former Meghan Carolan of Hicksville, N.Y., and the couple has one son, Dylan.  Meghan Weiseman is also a member of the Duke Athletics staff.
