DUKE STRENGTH, SPEED AND AGILITY DEVELOPMENTAL CLINIC |
The Duke University Strength and Conditioning staff invites you to participate in a clinic designed to teach you the techniques of strength training, speed development and agility training. The clinic is conducted by Will Stephens, Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for men's and women's basketball. Sessions will be between 6-8 p.m. weekdays from January 1 - December 31. Weekend sessions are optional.

Duke Academy of Golf The 2018 Duke Academy of Golf is directed by women's golf head coach Dan Brooks and is for boys and girls ages 11 and older. In Duke's history its athletics department has won 16 NCAA National Championships in all sports combined – Dan Brooks and his golf program have won six of those championships since 1999. Inducted into the Duke Athletics Hall of Fame in 2016, Coach Brooks is the all-time winningest coach in the history of collegiate golf with 128 tournament wins, and his squads have secured the ACC Championship 19 times during his career at Duke. This is the 21st year of the nationally well-known and popular Duke Academy of Golf, while Coach Brooks has been involved in running a golf camp at Duke for 34 years. Over the years, students have come from 39 states and numerous foreign countries to participate in the Academy and benefit from the outstanding instruction. On average, 45-55 students come per week to the Academy for an excellent experience. Our coaches are all PGA Teaching Professionals, collegiate coaches, and/or have significant experience teaching at golf schools. Our counselors are either current or former collegiate golfers. Every aspect of the game will be addressed, not only actual work on our beautiful practice facilities and golf course, but also nutrition, rules, strategy, and more. Duke Golf School
Since 1978 Duke Golf School has been a part of the Duke University for rising golfers. Whether you aim to be a collegiate golfer or you just love the game and want to learn more, we provide an atmosphere in which each student will grow in their knowledge and enjoyment of the game as well as make lasting friendships and unforgettable memories.
While in attendance, each student will have unlimited access to the University's private practice facilities, including the renowned V-1 Swing Analysis Program and Trackman doppler radar system (for live ball flight club and movement analysis).
Taught by College Golf Coaches, Class A PGA Professionals, and Collegiate Student-Athletes, students will gain insight about the game at every stage of development from beginner to high-level amateur & professional. Sessions will include insight on competing in junior golf, incorporating valuable practice techniques, understanding the importance of nutrition for competition. Lessons will also include detailed instruction on every aspect of the game from holing short putts to blasting long drives.

Duke Nike Track and Field Camp All training activities will take place at Duke University's facilities and running trails, which are among the best in the nation with over 30 miles of running trails in the Duke Forest, Duke Gardens and the Al Buehler Trail. Duke also features the brand new Morris Williams Stadium, one of the top track & field venues in the country. Current and former Duke student-athletes will serve as camp counselors. Instruction includes running workouts, strength training, form drills, stretching, dynamic warm-up routines, racing strategies and nutrition. The camp focuses on providing instruction in the running events 800 meters and up for boys and girls ages 12-18. Campers check in Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. and check out at 11 a.m., July 29.
