DURHAM, N.C. - Senior point guard Jon Scheyer was selected to the Associated Press All-America second team on Monday, picking up his fourth All-America honor of the season.

He has also received second team honors from the USBWA and Sporting News along with third team recognition from FoxSports.com.

A Northbrook, Ill. native, Scheyer has put together a stellar season, leading the Blue Devils in points (690), three-point field goals (104-of-273), free throws (186-of-211), free throw percentage (.882), assists (183), steals (62), assist-to-turnover ratio (2.9:1) and minutes played (1,395). He is one of only four players to score 500 points and dish out 100 assists in back-to-back seasons and is part of only the second trio in school history to each score over 600 points.

The five players named to the AP All-America first team were Kentucky's John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins Ohio State's Evan Turner, Syracuse's Wes Johnson and Villanova's Scottie Reynolds. Joining Scheyer on the second team are James Anderson (Oklahoma State) Sherron Collins (Kansas) Greivis Vasquez (Maryland) and Da'Sean Butler (West Virginia). The third team consisted of Greg Monroe (Georgetown), Cole Aldrich (Kansas), Damion James (Texas), Luke Harangody (Notre Dame) and Darington Hobson (New Mexico).

Scheyer has helped guide Duke to the NCAA Final Four as the school will make its 15th appearance this weekend in Indianapolis, Ind. The Blue Devils have matched a season high with eight straight wins as Scheyer scored 20 points in the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight against Baylor to help Duke win the South Regional championship.

This weekend the Blue Devils will face West Virginia in the second semifinal game on Saturday at approximately 8:47 p.m. (ET).
