DURHAM, N.C. – Duke senior Dorian Cohen, a three-time All-America fencer, was honored with an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, the National Collegiate Athletic Association announced.

The NCAA awards up to 174 postgraduate scholarships annually, 87 for men and 87 for women. The one-time grants of $7,500 each are awarded for fall sports, winter sports and spring sports. Each sports season (fall, winter and spring), there are 29 scholarships available for men and 29 scholarships available for women. The scholarships are one-time, non-renewable grants.

The postgraduate award is the second that Cohen earned this year. He was also selected as a recipient of an ACC Postgraduate Scholarship in February.

Cohen is one of the most decorated men’s fencers in Duke history, advancing to the NCAA Championships during all four years of competition while earning All-America honors three times. Also an Academic All-District III At-Large selection as a junior, Cohen posted a 183-53 (.775) record during his tenure, finished among the top 10 at the NCAA Championships twice and put together two 50-win seasons.

Cohen will graduate from Duke this month with a degree in Evolutionary Anthropology.
