Senior Jessica Lyden qualified for the Zone B Championships in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events. Most recently, Lyden captured the Atlantic Coast Conference title on the 3-meter board for the first All-ACC honors of her career, tallying a personal-best score of 365.95 to finish first in the event finals. The Lexington, Ky., native also recorded a 17th-place finish in the preliminaries of the 1-meter diving competition at the 2012 ACC Championships. In her last appearance at the NCAA Zone B meet in 2009, Lyden took sixth on the 3-meter board and 10th in the 1-meter event.
Seniors Shawn Hoffman and Cody Kolodziejzyk, junior Jordan Long and freshman Clay Pinckney will also see action at the NCAA Zone B Championships after qualifying for the meet on both low boards. At the 2012 ACC Championships, Kolodziejzyk led Duke with a 14th-place showing in the preliminaries of the men's 3-meter diving competition while Pinckney placed 18th in his first conference championships appearance. Long notched a 13th-place showing in the 3-meter prelims, followed by Kolodziejzyk in 14th place.
Last year's NCAA Zone B Diving Championships saw Kolodziejzyk collect a pair of top-10 finishes in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events. Long qualified for the meet on the 1-meter board, taking 18th overall, and Hoffman posted top-20 finishes on both low boards.
