No. 7 seed Duke faces No. 2 seed Northwestern in the quarterfinal round of the 2012 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship at 7 p.m. (CT) Saturday, May 19 at Lakeside Field in Evanston, Ill. The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

Redshirt senior Emma Hamm has established herself as one of the best players in Duke history ... In the school records, she ranks eighth in points (203), 13th in goals (118), third in assists (85), first in draw controls (263), 18th in ground balls (118) and seventh in caused turnovers (90) for a career ... Hamm is the first player in program history to total 75 or more goals, assists, ground balls, draw controls and caused turnovers in a career ... She is also the 14th player in program history to reach the 100-goal plateau, the fifth to record 75-plus career assists and the fourth to achieve both.

Wenger Reaches Century Mark 
Senior Kim Wenger collected three points in the regular season finale against Penn to become the 18th Blue Devil to top the 100-point plateau in a career ... She has amassed 103 points on 59 goals and 44 assists during her four years in Durham ... The Malvern, Pa., native ranks 18th in points, 20th in goals and 13th in assists for a career at Duke.

Senior Trio Members of Select Group 
With three points versus Penn on April 28, senior Kim Wenger joined teammates Emma Hamm and Kat Thomas in an elite group in program history ... Hamm, Thomas and Wenger have each totaled over 100 points and 100 draw controls for a career ... Only seven Blue Devils have ever accomplished this feat in Carolyn Davis, Katie Chrest, Caroline Cryer, Hamm, Rachel Sanford, Thomas and Wenger.

Thomas Returns from Injury 
After missing the first 13 games of the season due to injury, senior Kat Thomas returned to action against Boston College on April 7 ... Thomas reentered the starting lineup against Penn on April 28 ... The Latham, N.Y., native tallied a season-high three goals against Virginia in Duke's NCAA First Round game ... She has totaled seven goals, eight points, three ground balls, 10 draw controls and three caused turnovers in five games this season ... A preseason All-America choice, Thomas ranks fourth in the Duke record books in draw controls (159), 14th in goals (111) and 17th in points (120) for a career.

Mackler in Goal 
Senior goaltender Mollie Mackler has posted a career-best 8.56 goals against average this season, the lowest mark by a Blue Devil goalie since Megan Huether posted a 7.34 goals against average in 2006 ... The Longmeadow, Mass., native (8.56 gaa, 7.17 spg) is one of just three DI goalies to sport a goals against average under nine while also averaging seven or more saves per game, joining Fairfield's Katie Keenan (8.39 gaa, 8.06 spg) and Towson's Mary Teeters (8.47 gaa, 7.95 spg).

Freshmen Firsts 
One of the more diverse groups to matriculate at Duke, the Class of 2015 is comprised of nine freshmen from eight different states ... All nine of the Blue Devil freshmen have seen playing time with four entering the starting lineup at least once this year ... Kerrin Maurer and Taylor Trimble earned their first career starts in the season opener against Bucknell, while Erin Tenneson started against Virginia and Gabby Moise at North Carolina.

Immediate Impact 
Freshman Kerrin Maurer leads Duke in both assists (24) and points (48) ... Only three freshmen have ever led the Blue Devils in points their rookie season: Katie Chrest (2003), Tricia Martin (1997) and Meghan McLaughlin (1996) ... Maurer began her career with a five-assist performance in the season opener against Bucknell, tying the school single-game record ... In the Duke freshmen record book, she has set the mark for assists, while ranking fourth in points.

Dynamic Duo 
Freshman Kerrin Maurer currently leads the Blue Devils with 48 points, while classmate Taylor Trimble is tops on the team with 26 goals ... Maurer (24g, 24a) and Trimble (26g, 2a) have combined for 76 points this season ... Only one other freshmen duo - Emma Hamm and Sarah Bullard in 2008 - has combined for more points in program history.

Moise Steps Up 
After Duke lost two seniors on the defensive unit, freshman Gabby Moise has stepped up to fill the void ... The rookie has started the past six games for the Blue Devils after earning her first start against North Carolina on March 30 ... Prior to the UNC match, she had seen playing time in just one game this year, the season opener against Bucknell ... In her five games as a starter, Moise has totaled four ground balls, six caused turnovers and one draw control ... She was named ACC Defensive Player of the Week on April 10, following her second start of the season, a 12-11 win over then-No. 20 Boston College.
