Duke (29-2) is currently tied for the second-longest winning streak in program history, victorious in each of its last 18 matches. An impressive run, the streak is only the second-longest in the country, as Florida (25-1), the last team to defeat Duke, currently owns a string of 20 consecutive wins. The Gators defeated the Blue Devils, 5-0, in Gainesville on March 14.
The Southeastern Conference champion Gators hold a 34-4 advantage over the Blue Devils in the all-time series, and have won each of the last four meetings. Florida's only loss this season was a 4-3 decision at Stanford back in February.
Duke and Florida are two of just three teams in the country featuring six ranked singles players, along with top-seeded UCLA who will meet Southern California in the other semifinal matchup, Monday afternoon.
Arguably the most intriguing singles matchup, freshman and second-ranked Beatrice Capra will take on top-ranked Allie Will at the No. 1 spot in the lineup. Capra lost to Will in straight sets during the fall season, but in their regular season meeting on March 14, Capra led Will, 6-4, 5-4, while serving with match point, before rain halted play and the match went uncompleted.
