DURHAM, N.C. - Duke women's lacrosse seniors Kim Wenger and Emma Hamm have earned Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-America honors as announced by the organization Sunday, May 27. Wenger garnered second team honors, while Hamm picked up third team recognition.

The honor marks the second All-America distinction for Wenger and third for Hamm. Duke is one of 12 schools with multiple All-America honorees in 2012. This season also marks the 14th straight year the Blue Devils have had two or more players received All-America accolades.

A second team All-America choice in 2011, Wenger turned in a career year during her senior campaign with career highs in points (43), goals (25) and draw controls (50). The two-time All-ACC selection started all 19 matches in the Duke midfield, recording eight multi-goal games. With three points in the regular season finale, she became the 18th Blue Devil to top the 100-point plateau for a career. Over the past four years, the Malvern, Pa., native accumulated 103 points on 59 goals and 44 assists, and sits in the top-20 in the Duke record books for all three categories. Along with Hamm and senior Kat Thomas, she is one of just seven Blue Devils to collect over 100 points and 100 draw controls for a career.

Hamm, a third team All-America selection in 2008 and first team choice in 2011, ended her four years as Duke's all-time leader in draw controls for a career (265). She paced the Blue Devils with 89 draw controls in 2012, breaking her own school single-season record set just last year. Her average of 4.68 draw controls led the ACC and also ranked 13th nationally as Hamm had at least two draw controls in every game this season and posted seven contests with six or more. In addition, the Wayne, Pa., native totaled 40 points on 20 goals and 20 assists in 2012, while also leading the team in caused turnovers (19). For her career, Hamm played in 81 games, starting every contest, and amassed 118 goals and 85 assists for 203 points. The only Blue Devil to total 75 or more goals, assists, draw controls, ground balls and caused turnovers for a career, she ranks eighth all-time in points, 13th in goals and third in assists.

Duke ended the 2012 season with a 12-7 overall record and 3-2 mark in conference play. The Blue Devils earned the No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament, and defeated No. 10 Virginia in the opening round before falling to No. 2 Northwestern in the quarterfinals.
