The film, directed by Amy Unell and narrated by NBA All-Star Grant Hill, tells the story of coach Al Buehler who touched and enriched the lives of thousands of athletes including Olympians, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Carl Lewis, and John Carlos, as well as Duke University icons, Grant Hill and Shane Battier, by breaking ground in race relations, women's athletics, and international sport.
"Al Buehler is the best teacher-coach in intercollegiate sports", said Mike Krzyzewski, Duke and Olympic Men's Basketball Coach.
"This film is far more than the story of one man and the barriers he broke - it's a tribute to a sports legend," said Grant Hill, the film's Executive Producer.
"He is someone that has left an indelible mark in my life and just a great person, a great human being," said Olympian Jackie Joyner-Kersee.
Now in his 58th year of teaching at Duke, Buehler continues to inspire runners and those who have never even owned a pair of track shoes. He was recently honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from USA Track & Field at the U.S. Olympic Trials.
