DURHAM, N.C. - Duke's seven incoming freshmen for the 2013 season have been tabbed the No. 2 recruiting class in the country, according to Inside Lacrosse's list of the top 10 recruiting classes.

Syracuse topped the Inside Lacrosse rankings, while Duke head coach Kerstin Kimel's squad was listed second in the nation for the second consecutive season. The Blue Devils were also the highest ranked school in the Atlantic Coast Conference, while incoming classes from Maryland, North Carolina and Florida rounded out the top five on the list.

The Blue Devils' class of 2016 includes players from four states - Maddy Acton (Sudbury, Mass.), Kelsey Duryea (Beverly, Mass.), Kaki Jennison (Richmond, Va.), Emma Lazaroff (Lafayette, Colo.), Jordan McCarthy (New Vernon, N.J.), Claire Scarrone (Rumson, N.J.) and Kelci Smesko (Ridgewood, N.J.).

Three of the Blue Devils' future players were also selected to Inside Lacrosse's list of the top 25 incoming freshmen. Attacker Smesko is ranked fifth overall, followed by midfielder Acton in sixth. Goalie Duryea comes in at 20th on the list, while Lazaroff and Scarrone were named to the watch list.
