Several of the more prestigious events will be local, convenient for Blue Devil fans to attend, including the 2013 ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championship set to be hosted by N.C. State on April 17-20 and the 2013 NCAA East First Round scheduled for June 5-8 in Greensboro, N.C.
Indoors, Duke will start early on December 1 and compete in the JDL Fast Track Kick Off in Winston-Salem, N.C. Throughout the season, the Blue Devils will travel up to Virginia Tech multiple times in order to acclimate to the track that will host the 2013 ACC Indoor Championships on February 21-23.
The NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships will be hosted by the University of Arkansas at the famous Randal Tyson Track Center on March 8-9 while the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will return to historic Hayward Field at the University of Oregon on June 5-8. The season will close with the USATF Championships in Des Moines, Iowa on June 19-23.
Other noteworthy events include two trips up north for the Penn Relays on April 25-27 in Philadelphia, Penn., and the IC4A/ECAC Championships in Princeton, N.J., scheduled for May 10.
