Brandon Neff joined the Duke Athletic Department in October of 2012 and was promoted as the Associate Director of Athletic Facilities, Game Operations and Championships in July of 2014. Neff’s primary responsibilities include day-to-day management of game operations for all Duke Athletics home events, including serving as the primary game manager for Men’s Basketball, Baseball, Golf and Fencing. Neff also oversees the bid process and operations for all NCAA and ACC Championships hosted on Duke’s campus.
Neff came to Duke from the Southern Conference where he spent over six years as the Assistant Commissioner for Championships. He was responsible for the administration of 16 of the Conference's 19 championships and also managed the conference's merchandise program.
Neff came to the Southern Conference after an operations internship with the Mid-Continent Conference (now the Summit League) in Elmhurst, Ill. Neff began his career as an Assistant Commissioner for the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) in 2001. Neff was also a graduate assistant for sport clubs and intramurals at Northern Illinois University in 2005 and a Fan Services Representative with the Chicago Bears during their 2005 NFL playoff season.
The Alta, Iowa native earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Iowa State University in 2003 and his master's degree in sport management from Northern Illinois University in 2006.
Neff is married to the former Karen Donovan and the couple currently resides in Mebane, N.C., with their son Bryce.
