In the championship match, Capra and Mar dropped the first three games in the first set before battling back to make it 4-1. Despite the slight change in momentum, the Blue Devils would eventually lose the set by a score of 6-2 to the top-seeded team from Southern California.
Duke started the second set strong, and after trading games, Capra and Mar eventually forged ahead to take a 4-3 lead. Christina and Santamaria fought back to push the set to a tie-breaker, but Capra and Mar would eventually prevail, 7-6(6) to push the match to a third set.
