DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke football team travels to Blacksburg, Va., this weekend to face Virginia Tech on Saturday, October 13.  Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. Recently, sat down senior offensive guard Travis Gibson to learn more about the Miami, Fla., native. What has been your proudest moment at Duke?
Travis Gibson: When we beat Virginia with that last second run two years ago. What is the most misunderstood thing about football?
TG: How much work and learning goes into every game, not the physical aspect but the mental aspect. What is your favorite part about being a Duke student-athlete?
TG: The academic environment. What has been your most challenging class at Duke?
TG: I have had a lot of those. Soc. 132B, which is a math based class and I am not very good at math. What is your favorite spot on campus?
TG: The chapel, because it is a beautiful area to stop and think for a second. Tell us about a time when you first started playing your sport.
TG: I started when I was in the eighth grade, and I was actually on the pop-warner team that won the national title. That was really cool. As a child, what was your favorite food?
TG: French fries because they are delicious. What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
TG: Cleaning in general. It just seems like a daunting task every time; I never want to do it. Who has been the biggest influence on your life?
TG: My dad. He played football at Clemson. I call him twice a day. What is one possession you can't live without?
TG: A watch that I got after graduating high school that is probably my favorite.
