DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke football team returns to action November 17, against Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Ga.  Recently, GoDuke.com sat down with senior long snapper Jackson Anderson to learn more about the Frisco, Texas native.

GoDuke.com: What is your favorite part of being a Duke student-athlete?
Jackson Anderson: The ability to participate at the highest level I possibly can, both in athletics and academics. It's an unbelievable opportunity to play in the ACC, but it's also a huge privilege to be able to go to one of the most prestigious schools in the country.

GoDuke.com: What is your favorite spot on campus?
JA: Probably the Bryan Center. I've had a few classes there, but it's also a great place to go get food, have lunch with friends and stuff like that.

GoDuke.com: Are there any words of wisdom you'd like to pass along to freshmen and future Blue Devils?
JA: Enjoy it while it lasts. I remember when I was a freshman and people would tell me it's going to fly by, and you'd never believe it. And now that I'm going into my last season, you can really see where these past four years have gone.

GoDuke.com: Tell us about the time you first started playing football.
JA: I was in fifth grade. It was a little league team and I played offensive lineman and defensive lineman. It was a lot of fun. There's nothing - especially growing up and seeing it on TV, finally being able to get out there and hit somebody and feel that - it's an amazing feeling.

GoDuke.com: As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? What do you want to be now?
JA: It's always changed. Growing up, there were so different many things that I wanted to do. And really, it's still kind of like that. There's a lot of things that I'd love to do after football, starting off, probably in the finance sector. But we'll see what happens.

GoDuke.com: Who has been the biggest influence on your life?
JA: My father. We are very close and he's been a mentor in so many ways. I've learned almost everything I know from him.

GoDuke.com: What sport other than your own would you play?
JA: Golf. I love it. I play it as much as I can during the summer and during the off-season. I can't say I'm any good at it, but I have a lot of fun doing it. It's just a blast. It's still a way to be competitive, but it's a lot of fun.

GoDuke.com: Do you have any hidden talents?
JA: I can play a little guitar. I don't know how many people know about that.

GoDuke.com: What is one possession you can't live without?
JA: My computer. I'm always looking up different things, whether it's news or media, stuff like that.
