DURHAM, N.C. -  The Duke men's basketball team has a double-header this week as it faces off against Cornell Wednesday, December 19, and Elon Thursday, December 20.  Both games will tip off at 7 p.m. and will be aired on ESPNU.  Recently, GoDuke.com sat down with senior guard Seth Curry to learn more about the Charlotte, N.C., native.   

GoDuke.com: What has been your proudest moment at Duke?
Seth Curry: Winning the ACC Championship against Carolina [UNC] in Greensboro my sophomore year. Your goal is always to win championships.

GoDuke.com: What is the most misunderstood thing about your sport?
SC: I think the amount of time you have to put into it every day and the commitment you have to have.

GoDuke.com: What is your favorite part about being a Duke student-athlete?
SC: Just the tradition and the expectation that comes along with it.

GoDuke.com: What has been your favorite class at Duke?
SC: My markets and management entrepreneurship. I like the creative side of starting businesses.

GoDuke.com: Are there any words of wisdom you'd like to pass along to freshmen and future Blue Devils?
SC: Just enjoy it. Your four years goes by pretty fast, so enjoy every moment of it.

GoDuke.com: Tell us about a time when you first started playing your sport.
SC: I have been playing basketball my whole life. My dad played in the NBA so I have been around it my whole life, I remember going to NBA games with him when I was four or five years old. I have some of my best memories with him in the backyard playing one on one and having heated battles.

GoDuke.com: What was your favorite food as a child?
SC: Hibachi, Japanese steak and shrimp.

GoDuke.com: What did you want to be as a child?
SC: NBA basketball player and then eventually a college coach.

GoDuke.com: Who would you say has been the biggest influence on you life?
SC: My father and my brother. They just taught me to be your own person and to not look to anyone else's expectations but your own.

GoDuke.com: What's your favorite midnight snack?
SC: Apple pie and ice cream.

GoDuke.com: If you could play any other sport besides basketball what would it be?
SC: Baseball, pitcher. I played in middle school and my freshman year of high school.

GoDuke.com: Do you have any hidden talents?
SC: Probably hunting and fishing.

GoDuke.com: Mountains or beach?
SC: Beach because I don't like the cold at all.

GoDuke.com: What kind of music do you have on your IPod?
SC: A lot of R&B and Drake.

GoDuke.com: Was there any basketball player you looked up to when you were younger?
SC: My father because he played in the NBA for sixteen years. He played with the Charlotte Hornets for ten years.
