DURHAM, N.C. - Senior Mason Plumlee was named USBWA District III Player of the Year, while Mike Krzyzewski earned district Coach of the Year honors as announced by the organization Tuesday. Plumlee is joined on the 10-player All-District III team by fellow senior Seth Curry.

Plumlee, a first team All-ACC selection, is averaging 17.2 points and 10.3 rebounds per game for the second-ranked Blue Devils. He has recorded 17 double-doubles this season and is one of 15 players in the NCAA averaging a double-double for the year. The Warsaw, Ind., native became the 31st player in ACC history to accumulate 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in a career and enters this weekend's ACC Tournament 26th in league history with 1,046 career rebounds.

Curry, a second team Sporting News All-America pick, ranks second in the ACC with 16 games with 20 or more points scored. He is third in the league in scoring at 17.1 points per game, while also ranking among the league leaders in three-point field goals (81), three-point field goal percentage (.435) and free throw percentage (.810). Curry surpassed the 2,000-point mark for his collegiate career in Duke's regular season finale against North Carolina. He and his brother, Stephen, are just the third brother tandem in NCAA history to each top the 2,000-point plateau in their careers.

Krzyzewski collected USBWA District III Coach of the Year honors for the second time in his career. He has guided Duke to a 27-4 record heading into the ACC Tournament with the Blue Devils ranking among the top 5 teams in the country in 16 of a possible 19 AP polls this season. Coach K and the Duke staff have managed a series of injuries throughout the year while topping the 25-win mark for the sixth straight season. The Blue Devils have four wins over top-5 teams this season and are 17-0 this season in games that all three seniors (Seth Curry, Ryan Kelly and Mason Plumlee) have played in.
