TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Incoming freshman diver Murphy Bromberg qualified for this summer’s World Aquatics Championships with a strong performance in the women’s synchronized 10-meter event Monday, May 20 at USA Diving’s team trials, held at Florida State’s Morcom Aquatics Center.

Bromberg and Ohio State’s Cheyenne Cousineau totaled 595.23 points over two lists on the platform to earn the berth to the upcoming World Championships. The pair will join 13 other members of Team USA in Barcelona, Spain July 20-28 at the international aquatics competition.

A native of Bexley, Ohio, Bromberg has excelled on the junior national and national diving circuits throughout her prep career. Most recently, she finished second on the platform at the Junior National Diving Championships and placed seventh in the event at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.
