2014-15: Specializing in the long jump, notched a season-best performance of 21-8.75 (6.62) at the Virginia Tech Elite (2/7) to place 19th…opened the indoor campaign by placing seventh at the Carolina Cup (1/16) with a leap of 20-9.25 (6.33)…Outdoors, produced his top jump of the spring at the Duke Twilight (5/6), measuring 20-8.00 (6.30) to place 14th…kicked off the spring by claiming sixth place at the Carolina Relays (3/20) with a 19-10.25 (6.05) performance.

2013-14: Indoors, primarily a long-jump specialist, posted a season-best mark of 21-0.50 (6.41) at the Virginia Tech Challenge (2/22)…outdoors, improved on his career-best in the long jump with a leap of 21-5.50 (6.54) at the Carolina Relays (3/21).

Prior to Duke: Four year letterwinner in track & field and cross country for Jonathan Begnaud at Tupelo High School…member of four cross country state championships (2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011)…finished second in the pole vault at the 2013 6A State Championships…finished third in the event at the 2012 6A State Championships…two-time Tupelo High School Field MVP…garnered Wendy’s High School Heisman award…served as captain of the cross country and track team during his senior season…recipient of the Balfour Award and graduated Cum Laude…member of the National Honor Society and served as the Tupelo High School Vice President from 2011-2013.

Personal: Son of Hope and Roger Huey…born January 24, 1995…has one younger brother, Eric and one younger sister, Elise.
