2013 Stats: .252 AVG (27-for-107), 8 BB, 2 HR, 17 RBI, 19 Runs, .325 OBP
• The Crackers wrapped up the 2013 season Aug. 2, defeating the 6-4-3 Cougars 2-1. The team finished the summer on an eight-game winning streak, bring its final record to 22-10.
• Anthes ranked seventh on the Crackers’ roster with a .252 (27-for-107) batting average.
• He ranked third on the team with 17 RBI while also belting eight doubles.

Matt Berezo
Junior – INF
Prospect League (Butler Blue Sox)
2013 Stats: .212 AVG (14-for-66), 7 BB, 0 HR, 5 RBI, 7 Runs, .284 OBP
• Berezo appeared in18 games this summer for the Butler Blue Sox, hitting .212 (14-for-66).
• Berezo’s best game of the season came against Slippery Rock June 15 when he went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a walk.
• The Blue Sox finished the summer in third place in the Eastern Division with a 33-26 overall record.

Cape Cod League (Orleans Firebirds)
2013 Stats: .248 AVG (31-for-125), 12 BB, 3 HR, 11 RBI, 18 Runs, .333 OBP
• Betts finished the summer with a .248 (31-for-125) batting average and tied for second on the team in both runs scored (18) and home runs (3).
• Against Bourne Aug. 6, he was 3-for-4 at the plate with a double and a grand slam, finishing the game with four RBI.
• In five postseason contests, Betts is hitting .300 (6-for-20) with six RBI.
• He also owns a .990 fielding percentage at third base with 166 putouts.
• The Firebirds take on Cotuit in the Cape League Finals beginning Tuesday, Aug. 13.

Dalton Brown
Sophomore – RHP
California Collegiate League (Conejo Oaks)
2013 Stats: 1-1, 4.72 ERA, 16 appearances, 34.1 IP, 1 SV, 34 K, 23 BB, .269 B/AVG
• Brown pitched 34.1 innings in 16 appearances with the Conejo Oaks. He went 1-1 with a 4.72 ERA for the summer.
• In addition, he ranked third on the Oaks’ roster with 34 strikeouts.
Garrett Hayward
Sophomore – LHP
Cape Cod League (Falmouth Commodores)
2013 Stats: 0-0, 7.71 ERA, 2 appearances, 2.1 IP, 2 K, 3 BB, .167 B/AVG
• Hayward made two appearances for the Falmouth Commodores this season, throwing 2.1 innings.

Andrew Istler
Sophomore – RHP
Cape Cod League (Hyannis Harbor Hawks)
2013 Stats: 2-1, 2.34 ERA, 13 appearances, 23.0 IP, 2 SV, 13 K, 9 BB, .267 B/AVG
• Istler made 13 appearances with Hyannis, tossing 23.0 innings while posting 13 strikeouts.
• The Harbor Hawks reached the postseason before falling in a best-of-three series against Bourne.

Remy Janco
Sophomore – LHP
New England Collegiate Baseball League (New Bedford Bay Sox)
2013 Stats: 2-1, 3.27 ERA, 9 appearances, 33.0 IP, 23 K, 15 BB, .290 B/AVG
• Janco appeared in nine games this season for the New Bedford Bay Sox with five starts and four relief appearances.
• He posted 23 strikeouts on the season and was fourth on the team  in ERA (3.27).
• Janco concluded the summer season on a strong note, earning the victory in a July 19 contest against Vermont.
• New Bedford ended the season with a 20-24 overall record. The Bay Sox finished in sixth place in the Eastern Division.
Kenny Koplove
Freshman – INF
Cape Cod League (Chatham Anglers)
2013 Stats: .296 AVG (8-for-27), 5 BB, 0 HR, 1 RBI, 5 Runs, .406 OBP
• Koplove appeared in nine games for the Chatham Anglers and posted a .296 (8-for-27) average on the season.
• He made a relief appearance on the mound for the Anglers on June 22, tossing an inning in the no decision.
• Koplove ranked third on the squad with a .406 OBP.

Angelo La Bruna
Junior – INF
Cape Cod League (Orleans Firebirds)
2013 Stats: .196 AVG (11-for-56), 4 BB, 0 HR, 3 RBI, 9 Runs, .262 OBP
• La Bruna finished the season with a .196 (11-for-56) batting average for the Firebirds, including four walks and three RBI.
• His top performance this summer came against Wareham, where he totaled a 3-for-3 performance with an RBI.
• La Bruna scored in two consecutive contests for the Firebirds July 20 and 21.

Chris Marconcini
Redshirt Junior – INF/OF
Cape Cod League (Orleans Firebirds)
2013 Stats: .288 AVG (49-for-170), 17 BB, 4 HR, 25 RBI, 20 Runs, .359 OBP
• Marconcini has played well this summer for Orleans, hitting .289 (35-for-120) with including 15 extra base hits. He ranks second on the squad in doubles (11), tied for second in home runs (3) and third in RBI (23).
• His 23 RBI in the regular season rank tied for 10th in the Cape Cod League.
• In five postseason games, Marconcini is 5-of-18 at the plate with one home run and two RBI.
• The Firebirds take on Cotuit in the Cape League Finals beginning Tuesday, Aug. 13.

Michael Matuella
Freshman – RHP
Cape Cod League (Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox)
2013 Stats: 0-0, 13.50 ERA, 4 appearances, 4.2 IP, 5 K, 4 BB, .375 B/AVG
• Matuella made four relief appearances for Yarmouth-Dennis this season, pitching 4.2 innings.
• In his most recent appearance, Matuella gave up one earned run on two hits while striking out one batter in 1.1 innings.

Grant McCabe
Sophomore – OF
Mile High Collegiate Baseball League (Denver Bombers)
2013 Stats: .333 AVG (22-for-66), 9 BB, 0 HR, 14 RBI, 14 Runs, .413 OBP
• McCabe enjoyed a strong season for the Bombers, hitting .333 (22-for-66) in 20 games this season. He ranked tied for third on the team in doubles (4), third in RBI (14) and fifth in runs scored (14).
• The Bombers finished the season fifth in the league standings with a 12-17 ledger.

Sarkis Ohanian
Sophomore – RHP
Cape Cod League (Hyannis Harbor Hawks)
2013 Stats: 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 10 appearances, 14.1 IP, 3 SV, 13 K, 7 BB, .128 B/AVG
• Ohanian did not allow a run in 10 appearances on the mound for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks.
• He pitched 14.1 innings for the summer with three saves while limiting opposing batters to a .128 average.
• Ohanian tossed one inning for the West Squad in the Cape League All-Star game, allowing one run on one hit with two strikeouts.

Andy Perez
Sophomore – INF
Valley Baseball League (Harrisonburg Turks)
2013 Regular Season Stats: .294 AVG (48-for-163), 29 BB, 0 HR, 20 RBI, 32 Runs, .422 OBP
2013 Playoff Stats: .333 AVG (3-of-9), 0 BB, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 Runs, .333 OBP
• Perez hit .294 (48-for-163) for the summer. In the playoffs he was 3-for-9 (.333) with a double in the Turks best-of-three series against the Generals.
• He concluded the regular season with hits in eight of his last 10 games.
• Eleven of his 48 hits went for extra bases.
• Perez led the Turks in runs scored (32) and ranked second in hits (48), tied for second in doubles (8) and first in walks (29).
• He also led the league with 30 stolen bases for the season.

Jalen Phillips
Sophomore – INF
Valley Baseball League (Harrisonburg Turks)
2013 Stats: .143 AVG (5-for-35), 4 BB, 0 HR, 4 RBI, 4 Runs, .279 OBP
• Philips saw action in 20 games this season for the Harrisonburg Turks.
• His top performance on the season came against the Woodstock River Bandits, when he was 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI and one run scored.

Conner Stevens
Redshirt Sophomore – RHP
Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League (Cincinnati Steam)
2013 Stats: 0-1, 2.61 ERA, 11 appearances, 20.2 IP, 14 K, 6 BB, .225 B/AVG
• Stevens made 11 appearances throughout season for the Cincinnati Steam, pitching 20.2 innings in relief.
• He struck out the lone batter he faced in his final outing, a July 26 contest against the Settlers.
• He finished the summer with 14 strikeouts compared to four walks.
• The Steam completed the season with a 24-16 record and fell to the Settlers in the postseason

Trent Swart
Sophomore – LHP
Cape Cod League (Orleans Firebirds)
2013 Stats: 0-1, 0.00 ERA, 2 appearances, 6.0 IP, 3 K, 0 BB, .250 B/AVG
• Swart appeared in two contests with the Orleans Firebirds.
• He did not allow a run in 6.0 innings of work, striking out three batters.

Drew Van Orden
Junior – RHP
California Collegiate League (Santa Barbara Foresters)
2013 Stats: 5-2, 1.29 ERA, 9 appearances, 49.0 IP, 65 K, 13 BB, .188 B/AVG
• Van Orden posted dominant numbers this summer in the California Collegiate League, making nine starts and earning a 5-2 record. He recorded 65 strikeouts in 49.0 innings pitched.
• He owned a team-best 1.29 ERA and a team-high 65 strikeouts in his nine starts compared to 13 walks. Opposing batters hit just .188 off Van Orden.
• He ranked tied for second in the league in wins (5), first in strikeouts (65) and fourth in ERA (1.29).
• He made an appearance in the California Collegiate League All-Star game July 17. He pitched one inning in the contest and posted one strikeout.
