DURHAM, N.C. – Duke quarterback Anthony Boone and right tackle Perry Simmons were named ACC Players of the Week after helping Duke top Navy, 35-7, Saturday at Wallace Wade Stadium.

Boone, a redshirt junior, was named ACC Offensive Back of the Week, while Simmons, a redshirt senior earned ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week. The awards mark the third consecutive game week in which a Duke player earned ACC weekly honors and the first such awards for Boone and Simmons this season.

In his first game since suffering a broken collarbone in the Sept. 7 win at Memphis, Boone started and completed 31-of-38 passes for 295 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions against the Midshipmen. His .816 completion percentage was the sixth highest single-game mark in Duke history, while his three touchdown passes marked his second career multi-passing touchdown game.

Simmons, in his ACC-leading 43rd consecutive start, paved the way for a Duke offense that amassed 435 total yards and converted 10-of-16 third downs. Simmons helped Duke rush for over 130 yards in the eighth consecutive game while allowing just two sacks on 38 pass attempts. With Simmons steadying the offense up front, the Blue Devils have now rushed for over 130 yards and passed for over 300 in three consecutive games.

Duke has now pulled in six total ACC Player of the Week awards this season. Junior wide receiver Jamison Crowder has been named ACC Specialist of the Week twice and receiver of the week once, while redshirt sophomore safety Jeremy Cash was also named ACC Defensive Back of the Week.

Duke will begin a stretch of six straight ACC matchups this weekend against Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. Regional Sports Network will broadcast the game, which kicks off at 3:30 p.m. in Scott Stadium.
