Atlanta, Ga. -- Sunday was a mental rep day at Duke Football practice, as the players left their helmets and cleats home and spent their time focusing on the finer details of the game plan during the team’s “Thursday” practice.
As part of a change in practice routine head coach David Cutcliffe implemented in recent years, the Blue Devils spend the practice two days out from any game working without contact.
The Blue Devil Network caught up with coach Cutcliffe and several of the players to hear their thoughts on the practice format and what they focus on during their time on the field.
Following practice, the week’s second press conference was held with both team’s offensive and defensive coordinators taking questions alongside a pair of players. For the Blue Devils, offensive coordinator Kurt Roper and defensive coordinator Jim Knowles sat at the table with offensive guard Dave Harding and defensive end Kenny Anunike.
