This week's installment of the Blue Devil Vault features former No. 1 overall draft pick Elton Brand, who starred at Duke during the 1997-98 and 1998-99 seasons. Brand, who the Chicago Bulls took No. 1 overall in the 1999 NBA Draft, averaged 16.2 points and 8.9 rebounds per game in his two seasons as a Blue Devil.
Brand is in his 15th NBA season and first with the Atlanta Hawks. During his lengthy professional career, he owns averages of 17.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.8 blocks per game with six seasons averaging at least 20.0 points per game and six averaging a double-double.
