DURHAM, N.C. – The latest Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index has been released with the Duke women’s golf team featuring three golfers in the top 11 of the national rankings, following the Blue Devils claiming their 19th overall ACC Championship this past weekend.
Freshman Yu Liu is fourth, sophomore Celine Boutier is sixth and senior Laetitia Beck is 11th, while freshman Sandy Choi comes in at 91st. Duke owns the top three ACC golfers in the rankings with the next highest player being Matilda Castren of Florida State at No. 16.
Over the weekend at the ACC Championship, Duke placed four golfers in the top five of the individual leaderboard led by Boutier with her third straight medalist honor. Beck was second, Choi fourth and Liu came in tied fifth overall.
Duke registered a 27-stroke victory as a team to win its fourth tournament of the season. The four tournament wins is the most for the Blue Devils since the 2007-08 campaign when Duke won five events. Head coach Dan Brooks has now guided the Blue Devils to 118 career wins and 18 of Duke’s 19 ACC titles.
The Blue Devils will next await the NCAA selection show Monday, April 28 at 6:00 p.m., on the Golf Channel.
