• Senior Mark Lumpa leads the nation in walks (40) and walks per game (1.00) ... The Saudi Arabia native also ranks fourth in the league in on base percentage (.466) and second in runs scored (38).

•  Redshirt junior Chris Marconcini leads the ACC in RBI (39) and ranks second in home runs (7) ... Marconcini has driven in 35 or more runs in each of his three seasons at Duke ... The Brentwood, Tenn., native also has a team-best 11 games with multiple RBI, including six with three or more runs driven in ... Marconcini is also the only player in the ACC to total seven or more home runs as well as seven or more stolen bases.

• Junior Andy Perez has been on a tear as of late, hitting a team-best .455 (15-for-33) over the past nine games ...  During that span, Perez has totaled three doubles, six walks, six RBI and seven stolen bases.

• Duke and Florida State are the only two teams in the conference to average 5.00 or more walks per game.

Wake Forest Series History
• Friday’s game marks the 290th meeting in program history between Duke and Wake Forest ... The Demon Deacons lead the all-time series 152-135-2 ... The two teams have not met since 2011 ... No current Blue Devil has played Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, N.C.

• Duke relies heavily on its defense and currently ranks third in the ACC with a .978 fielding percentage ... The Blue Devils are one of three ACC teams with 40 or fewer miscues on the season ... Duke has played errorless baseball in 22 of its 42 games ... Duke and Virginia are the only two teams in the conference to commit fewer than 37 errors while totaling over 1,600 fielding chances ... The other four squads with 1,600 or more fielding chances all have 50 or more errors: Florida State (1,663 chances, 53 errors), Georgia Tech (1,708 chances, 54 errors), Miami (1,692 chances, 50 errors) and Wake Forest (1,806, 66 errors).

Run Game Success
• The Blue Devils have done well controlling the run game while also taking advantage of their stolen base opportunities ... Duke and Notre Dame are the only two ACC teams to swipe 45 or more bases while also limiting the opposition to 25 or fewer stolen bases ... The Blue Devils are one of four ACC teams to limit the opposition to 25 or fewer stolen bases on the year.

Blue Devils Earn ACC Honors
• Senior Drew Van Orden and sophomore Michael Matuella have both earned ACC Pitcher of the Week honors this season, while redshirt junior Chris Marconcini also picked up league player of the week accolades ... Duke is the only team to have two different pitchers garner ACC Pitcher of the Week distinction this season.
• Van Orden earned conference pitcher of the week honors on April 14 after tossing eight shutout innings with 11 strikeouts in the Blue Devils’ 2-0 victory over NC State ... The Manhattan Beach, Calif., native surrendered just three hits with one walk and did not face more than four batters in any inning. Van Orden struck out at least one Wolfpack hitter in each of this eight innings and fanned two in the first, second and fourth frames ... The 6-3 right-hander yielded just one hit over his final five innings and did not permit a baserunner after the fifth.
• Marconcini earned his first career ACC Player of the Week citation Feb. 24 after hitting .667 (10-for-15) over a four-game stretch ... Marconcini reached base in 14-of-19 total plate appearances while also adding six runs, seven RBI and three stolen bases in that span.
• Matuella garnered the ACC Pitcher of the Week nod on Feb. 17 following his performance versus Binghamton ... The right-hander was perfect in 5.0 innings of work, needing just 71 pitches to retire all 15 batters he faced while striking out a career-high nine.
