DURHAM, N.C.—Duke University senior Jordan Wolf proved he is just as successful in the classroom as on the lacrosse field, earning one of 10 spots on the Captial One Academic All-District III team announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

A history major, Wolf is one of three Division I men’s lacrosse players represented across the eight districts. He and Syracuse’s Kevin Rice are the lone ACC lacrosse representatives. This is Wolf’s first honor from CoSIDA.

Wolf is one of the most prolific scorers in Duke lacrosse history, ranking second in school and ACC history in career points and third and fourth in career goals, respectively. The Wynnewood, Pa., native was named the 2014 ACC Offensive Player of the Year after leading the conference in goals and points. A four-time All-ACC honoree, Wolf is the first player in Duke history and just the seventh all-time in the ACC to achieve that feat.

Riding a nation’s-best 58-game scoring streak, Wolf heads into the NCAA quarterfinals with 84 points from 54 goals and 30 assists. He has 11 hat tricks this season and nine games with five-plus points, including six games with three-plus assists. A balanced scorer, Wolf is the fourth Blue Devil to amass at least 100 goals and 100 assists in his career. He currently owns 174 goals and 111 assists for 285 points. He needs one point to surpass Zack Greer in career points and four assists to take over the No. 3 spot from Tony Cullen.

Wolf, a starter in 74 of his 78 games, is a three-time All-ACC Academic honoree. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in history in a special ceremony for the lacrosse, baseball and men’s tennis teams this past Monday.

Duke (14-3) will face Johns Hopkins in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals Sunday in Newark, Del. Faceoff is set for 12 p.m., in Delaware Stadium on ESPNU.
