DURHAM, N.C.— Blue Devil head coach Joanne P. McCallie has announced Duke and Texas A&M have inked a deal to play a home-and-home series beginning in the 2014-15 campaign.  The two squads will kick off the series Sunday, Nov. 30 in College Station, Texas.

The contest in 2014 will take Duke rising junior Alexis Jones to her home state of Texas where she attended MacArthur H.S.  A product of Irving, Texas, Jones was the Gatorade Texas Girls Basketball Player of the Year and Miss Texas Basketball as both a junior and senior.

Duke and Texas A&M have met a total of four times in school history with the Aggies leading the series, 3-1.  The Blue Devils last faced the Aggies in 2009 and 2010 in a home-and-home series that saw the home team win both contests.  Texas A&M claimed a 95-77 victory in College Station Nov. 15, 2009, while Duke netted a 61-58 win in Durham Dec. 6, 2010.

As a team, Duke collected a 28-7 overall and 12-4 league mark in 2013-14.  The Blue Devils advanced to the NCAA Tournament second round and won the 2013 Paradise Jam title as McCallie completed her seventh year at Duke.  The Blue Devils will return two starters – Elizabeth Williams and Jones -- and eight letterwinners in 2014-15, while welcoming the second-ranked recruiting class in the nation.

Texas A&M returns four starters off its squad that posted a 27-9 overall record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight under the direction of head coach Gary Blair.
