DURHAM, N.C.—A trio of former Blue Devils were selected to the Major League Lacrosse All-Star Team after a strong first half of the MLL season. Matt Danowski, Michael Manley and Justin Turri will represent the MLL in the All-Star Game versus Team USA.

This is the fifth All-Star appearance for Danowski, the second consecutive for Manley and the first for midfielder Turri. Danowski will represent the Charlotte Hounds, which tied for the most selections with four. Manley and Turri are two of the four players selected from the Rochester Rattlers.

Danowski has played in four games for the Hounds and has tallied an impressive seven goals and nine points overall. The veteran attackman has 142 goals in his seven-year career in the MLL and has a point in all four of his outings this season.

Manley is having a career season for the second-place Rattlers. The defenseman has a career-high four goals, including a pair of two-point scores, and an assist for seven points. His seven points are tied for the most by any defenseman in the league. His four tallies are more than he had his two previous seasons combined. Manley also has picked up 12 ground balls for the Rattlers.

Turri ranks 15th in the league and fifth among midfielders with 15 points in his six outings. He owns nine goals and five assists for 15 points. His nine goals at the midway point of the campaign matches his 2013 total with Denver and is just four shy of his two professional seasons combined. He has at least one point in all six games this season.

Lining up against the trio will be a couple of familiar faces in former Duke All-Americans David Lawson and Ned Crotty as members of Team USA.

The 2014 MLL All-Star Game, which will feature Team MLL vs. Team USA, will take place on Thursday, June 26, at 7:30 p.m. at Historic Harvard Stadium in Boston, Mass. Tickets are now on sale, and can be purchased at or by calling 617-746-9933.

The game will also be televised live on CBS Sports Network and in 175 U.S. territories including U.S. military installations, U.S. embassies and U.S. consulates through the American Forces Network.
