DURHAM, N.C.— Coming off posting a 2-0 win at 11th-ranked West Virginia Friday evening, the 21st-ranked Duke women’s soccer team will return to Durham, N.C., for its home opener Sunday, Aug. 31 at 6:00 p.m., at Koskinen Stadium.
Freshman Imani Dorsey netted the game-winner in the first half, while Ali Kershner added a shutout in goal at West Virginia to give the Blue Devils their first victory of the season. Duke had dropped two matches in the UNC Nike Classic to Ohio State (1-0) and Stanford (2-0) the previous weekend.
UAB enters the match with a 2-0 record, after downing Davidson, 1-0, Friday evening as the Blazers will play their third straight contest to open the season.
