2014-15: Duke’s starter at 133 pounds … NCAA qualifier as a true freshman … Was the third true freshman in Blue Devil wrestling history to advance to the NCAA postseason … Went 6-6 in duals and 11-9 overall after competing unattached the first part of the season … Won the Appalachian Open and took second in the Wolfpack Open … Earned All-ACC after finishing as the runner-up at the ACC Championship … First competed in a Duke singlet a the Pitt Duals … Upset No. 17 Kevin Norstrem of Virginia Tech in the regular season dual with the Hokies … Upended Norstrem, the No. 3 seed, again at the ACC Championship … Also defeated No. 2 seed Troy Heilmann of North Carolina to advance to the ACC title match at 133 and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.
