2017-18: A jumper who competed in five events during the indoor season and six events during the outdoor campaign, earning top five finishes in six of those competitions … opened the indoor campaign with a first-place finish at the Carolina Cup (1/13), clearing 6-10.25 to secure the top spot in the standings … earned his second first place of the indoor season at the Air Force Invite (2/16) with a lifetime-best jump, clearing 7-0.25, which ranks second all-time at Duke indoors … qualified for the ACC Indoor Championships where he finished 10th with a jump of 6-7.00 … recorded the second-best jump in Duke high jump history outdoors, tallying a 7-0.50 mark at the Duke Invitational (4/21) to earn third place … earned All-ACC Second Team honors at the ACC Outdoor Championships, finishing fifth with a mark of 6-11.50 … qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Round where he finished 25th with a jump of 6-9.00 … selected to the 2018 All-ACC Academic Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Team.
2016-17: Participated in three events during the indoor season and in seven events throughout the outdoor campaign, specializing in the high jump…Finished in first place in the high jump at the Carolina Cup (1/13), clearing 6-10.25 (2.09)…Set a new personal-best at the ACC Indoor Championships (2/25), clearing 6-11.50 (2.12) to finish in seventh place as well as in third in the Duke all-time records…Earned six top ten finishes in the high jump during the outdoor season, including a first place finish at the Battle of the Blues (4/1)…Cleared 6-10.75 (2.10) at the Raleigh Relays (3/25) to set a new personal-best which is also the third highest mark in Duke history…Qualified for both the ACC Outdoor Championships (5/14) and the NCAA East Preliminaries (5/27), finishing in seventh and 36th respectively…Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2015-16: Participated in four competitions during the indoor season and five during the outdoor campaign, specializing in the high jump…in indoor competition, finished third at the VT Challenge (2/20) after clearing 6-9.75 (2.08), the fifth-best clearance in Duke history…posted a top-15 performance at the ACC Indoor Championships (2/26), claiming 15th with a mark of 6-6.25 (1.99)…during the outdoor season, finished third at the Battle of the Blues (4/2), clearing 6-8.00 (2.03)…claimed 10th at the ACC Outdoor Championships (5/14) with a mark of 6-8.75 (2.05)…finished 22nd at the Penn Relays (4/29) with a clearance of 6-5.00 (1.96).
Prior to Duke: Lettered four years in track & field under the direction of coaches Charlie Carroll and Tony McCoy…owns the Searcy school record in the high jump at 6-10.00 (2.08)…cleared 6-8.00 (2.03) to win the Arkansas Meet of Champions...captured gold in the high jump at the Arkansas 6A State Meet…competed in long jump during the indoor campaign, placing sixth at the Arkansas 5A-7A Indoor State Meet with a leap of 21-1.00 (6.43)…also a standout in football, basketball and soccer, highlighted by helping Searcy win a state title in men’s soccer…was selected to the to the 2015 Arkansas All-Star Football team…graduated with Honors…member of the National Honor Society and Boys’ State…earned the HOBY Leadership Award and a spot on the All-Academic team.
