DURHAM, N.C.- When the United States Under-19 Women's National Team convenes at the U.S. Soccer National Team Training Center in Carson, Calif., May 13-20, Duke University incoming freshman Tess Boade will be one of 24 players attending.
During the camp, the U.S. U-19 squad will face the Japan U-20 Women's National Team on Friday, May 19 at 8 p.m. (ET). The match will be played at the Glen “Mooch” Myernick Field in Carson.
Boade, a product of Highlands Ranch, Colo., is ranked as the No. 40 overall recruit by TopDrawerSoccer.com and the 18th-best forward. The 5-4 standout has also trained with the U-15, U-17 & U-18 Women's National Teams and traveled to South Korea in 2014 with the U-17 squad. She attends Valor Christian H.S. and is also a very talented basketball and track & field athlete.
