DURHAM, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the 2017-18 men’s golf All-ACC Academic Team Thursday, presenting the honor to 28 student-athletes who finished the previous semester with a 3.0 cumulative average and a 3.0 during their academic career.
Leading the way with five selections was Duke men’s golf, the only team in the conference to fall in that category.
With its five selections, Duke edged out in-state rivals North Carolina, who had four, and N.C. State, who had three.
Jake Shuman notched his fourth all-academic honor, the only student-athlete on this year’s slate to achieve such an accomplishment.
The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
