DURHAM, N.C. – Having recently wrapped up her stellar Blue Devil career, Duke All-American Maddy Price now has her eyes set on the Canadian Track & Field Championships starting Friday, July 6 in Ottawa.
Price will compete in the 200m and 400m. The prelims for the 400m will be held Friday, while the prelims and finals for the 200m will take place Saturday. The 400m finals are also set for Saturday.
Last week, Price and the Canadian women’s 4x400m relay team broke the previous record set in 2007 with a 3:32.08 at the Vancouver Sun Harry Jerome International Track Classic on June 26.
One of the top runners in school history, Price leaves Duke with her name displayed throughout the program record book. She owns five school records: 200m, 400m, 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400, with four of those set in 2018. Price was a member of the 4x400 relay team that clocked a 3:32.26 at the NCAA Championships, the second-fastest showing in school history, to earn All-America Second Team honors. That squad had set the school record just a week and a half before with a 3:32.41 mark at the NCAA East Regional.
