Wolf Helps United States Cruise Past Scotland

NETANYA, ISRAEL –Behind six goals from Ryan Brown, the U.S. Men’s Lacrosse National Team cruised past Scotland 18-2 to improve to 4-0 at the 2018 FIL World Lacrosse Championship. Former Blue Devil Jordan Wolf had four points from a goal and three assists.

Eight different players scored goals in the victory and Thomas Schreiber added three goals and three assists for six points. Ned Crotty added two goals, while Matt Danowski had an assist in the victory. Will Haus picked up five ground balls in the effort. Wolf also had two ground balls in the final game of the night at the championships.

The U.S. jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first quarter with Wolf providing a goal and two assists. Wolf added a second tally in the second period as the United States extended its lead to 9-1 at the break.

Wolf found Brown to start the third period to make it 10-1 and the red, white and blue scored the game’s eight scores for the 16-goal win.

The United States closes out pool play against England tomorrow, July 17. Faceoff is set for 11 a.m., ET and will be televised

 

Team Canada Update

Team Canada held Iroquois Nationals to just three goals for a 10-5 victory. Former Blue Devil Taylor Wray is the defensive coordinator for Canada, which improved to 3-1 at the tournament. In the four games, Canada has allowed 25 games for a 6.25 goals against average.
