GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Duke men’s golf team capped the Grandover Collegiate on Sunday, with junior Steven DiLisio posting his third-consecutive round of 72 to lead the way for the Blue Devils.
Freshman Quinn Riley fired a three-under 69 – the low round of his young college career – on Sunday to charge his way up the leaderboard into a tie for 15th. Riley was five-over for the tournament. DiLisio concluded the 54-hole event at Grandover Resort’s East Course at even par and was tied for sixth.
The Blue Devils each competed individually and did not factor in the team scoring. Northwestern’s David Nyfjall won the individual title at five-under par, while the host UNC Greensboro claimed the team titled at five-over par.
Sophomore Qi wen Wong was tied for 30th at nine-over, while classmate Harrison Taee was tied for 35th at 10-over.
The remainder of Duke’s squad is in Atlanta for the East Lake Cup, which begins Monday at the East Lake Golf Club. Golf Channel will air live coverage of the event from 3-6 p.m. ET on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
