DURHAM, N.C. – After posting 15 league wins for a second consecutive season and just the third time since 2009, Duke has earned the No. 7 seed in the upcoming 2019 ACC Championship at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
As a member of Pool B, Duke (30-24, 15-15 ACC) faces 11th-seeded Notre Dame (24-28, 13-17 ACC) Tuesday, May 21 at 7 p.m., and second-seeded Georgia Tech (38-16, 19-11 ACC) Friday, May 24 at 11 a.m. Both games are televised by RSN and available on ACC Network Extra (subject to blackout).
The winner of Duke’s three-team pool advances to a semifinal game Saturday, May 25 at 5 p.m., against the winner of Pool C featuring NC State, Florida State and Wake Forest. Sunday’s championship game begins at noon on ESPN2.
The ACC Baseball Championship features a pool-play format, leading into a four-team, single-elimination bracket to determine the league champion. Each team in the four pools will play one game against each of the other two opponents in its pool Tuesday through Friday (May 21-24). The four teams with the best records within their respective pools will advance to Saturday’s semifinals, with the winners playing on Sunday in the ACC Championship Game.
