Tom Kain stands as Duke's all-time scoring leader in men's soccer and was the school's first ever four-time All-America in any sport.

Kain won the 1985 Hermann Award, given to the National Player of the Year. He was the runner-up for the award in 1984.

He led the Blue Devils to a 68-13-7 record and three NCAA Tournament appearances during his career. He was also a member of 1984 United States Olympic soccer team.

The four-time All-ACC selection finished his Duke playing career with school records for goals (51), assists (45) and total points (147).
