Claude "Tee" Moorman enjoyed a distinguished career for the Duke football program. The Miami, FL native was a standout end for the Blue Devils from 1958 through 1960, earning first-team All-America honors as a senior.

Moorman was one of the stars of Duke's 1961 Cotton Bowl victory over Arkansas. He caught the game-tying touchdown pass in the waning moments of the Blue Devils' 7-6 win over the Razorbacks. He caught a then-duke-record 54 passes that year to rank second nationally in receptions.

The president of his senior class, Moorman went on to earn his medical degree from Duke and a law degree from William & Mary. He was a volunteer physician in Vietnam, 1970-71 and later an anesthesiologist in Florida. Two of Moorman's sons, Tee and Tommy, have attended Duke and played for the Blue Devils.

Moorman's numerous accomplishments led to his earning an NCAA Silver Anniversary Award in 1986.
