MIRABEL, Quebec, Canada - In the first LPGA Tour event of her career, Duke University sophomore Laetitia Beck carded rounds of 71, 70, 76 and 77 for a total of 294 on her way to finishing tied for 70th at the CN Canadian Women's Open at the Hillsdale Golf & Country Club in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada.
Beck, a native of Caesarea, Israel, opened the day with two straight pars before suffering a bogey on the third hole. She responded with back-to-back birdies on the par three third and par five fourth holes on her way to making the turn at one-under-par, 35. She struggled to close out her day on her way to finishing with four bogeys and one double-bogey as she shot a six-over-par, 42, on the back. Beck concluded the day with a 77.
She hit 8-of-14 fairways and 10-of-18 greens in regulation on Sunday. Beck also had 32 putts in the final round. She will head back to Durham, N.C., and start class at Duke University on Monday, Aug. 29.
Three other Blue Devils -- Brittany Lang (T53, 289), Amanda Blumenherst (T75, 297) and Anna Grzebien (T66, 292) finished the weekend earning a paycheck.
Taking the title was Brittany Lincicome with a four-day total of 275, which was 13-under-par.
