PHILADELPHIA, Pa.-  The women's 4x400 meter relay team finished second in the women's ECAC final on the last day of the 2012 Penn Relays.  Senior Brittany Whitehead was joined by freshmen Alexis Roper, Lauren Hansson and Elizabeth Kerpon to finish the race in 3:41.18, narrowly missing the school record that was set earlier in the season by .06 seconds.  Kerpon ran the anchor leg in an impressive 53.4 split while Whitehead finished her leg in 53.9.

The men's 4xmile relay finished in ninth with a time of 16:56.92.  It was an eventful race that included senior Andrew Brodeur running a personal record split of 4:06.9 and sophomore Domenick DeMatteo getting tripped up on his third leg.  Freshmen Nate McClafferty and Morgan Pearson rounded out the squad.

In the field events, sophomore Justin Amezquita cleared 16-0.75 (4.90) to finish fifth while sophomore Tanner Anderson jumped 7-1.0 (2.16) to end up in seventh place.

Overall, the Blue Devils will bring home four second-place finishes:  the women's 4x400, senior Michael Barbas in the shot put, junior Shannon Sullivan in the javelin and junior Domenick Robinson in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
