"Every year one of the most exciting things for our program is the caliber of athlete that comes continuously gets better and better," said head coach Dan Colella. "We have a very versatile group - a wide range of athletes that I think are going to be immediate impacts. We're looking forward to what they bring to the program as athletes, as students and just in terms of bringing a new dynamic to the program. We're excited that they're a part of the Duke family."

Free/Back - Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (Pine Crest)
Four-year letterwinner for Jay Fitzgerald at Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. ... state finalist in the 100 free and 100 back as a senior ... guided his squad's 200 free and 400 free relays to runner-up finishes at the state meet his final year ... helped Pine Crest claim regional and district championships all four years ... garnered All-America honors as a junior and senior ... also selected to the Miami Herald's first team all-county his junior and senior seasons ... earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-America distinction as a junior and senior.
Mid-Free/Distance - Naperville, Ill. (Naperville North)
A three-time All-America and all-state honoree ... one of the top distance freestylers in Illinois ... four-time state qualifier, making the cut in the 200 and 500 free as well as in the 200 and 400 free relays as a senior ... placed 10th in the state in both the 200 and 500 free while helping his squad's 400 free relay take third and the 200 free relay finish fourth ... garnered high school All-America and all-state honors for his relay performances ... finished fourth in the 500 free and sixth in the 200 free at the state meet as a junior while also taking fifth in the 500 free his sophomore season.
Breaststroke - Los Altos, Calif. (St. Francis)
A four-year letterwinner out of St. Francis in Mountain View, Calif. ... guided two St. Francis relays to a pair of top-five finishes at the Central Coast Section Championships as a senior ... helped his team's medley relay take sixth at the CCS Championships his junior and sophomore seasons.
Sprint Free/Fly - Brussels, Belgium (Emmaus [Pa.])
Lettered four years for Tim O'Connor at Emmaus High School in Emmaus, Pa. ... earned high school All-America distinction all four years, including in five events as a senior ... took fifth in the 100 breast at the district championship as a junior ... tabbed his district's Outstanding Swimmer of the Season as a sophomore, junior and senior ... also named his district's Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet on multiple occasions.
Butterfly - Singapore
Lettered four years at Raffles Institution in Singapore ... three-time gold medalist in the 100 butterfly at the Singapore National Interschool Swimming Championships ... also won two gold medals in the 200 butterfly at the same championship meet ... represented Singapore at the 2007 FINA World Championships in Melbourne, Australia and at the 2008 FINA World Junior Championships in Monterrey, Mexico ... broke the Singapore under-17 national record in the 100m butterfly and the open national record in the 200m butterfly in 2008.
Back/IM - Johns Creek, Ga. (Northview)
