In addition to the ACC weekly honors, Hartmann climbed into the WrestlingReport.com national rankings at the No. 22 spot for 197 pounds. Three other Blue Devils are among the top 32 in the polls.
Hartmann posted a 4-0 record, including beating two of the top three seeds at the tournament, en route to the championship. The Port Orchard, Wash., native gave up just five points overall and kept two opponents off the scoreboard in the four matches. Two of his wins came against ACC opponents, including the 6-3 title win over Antonio Girogio of North Carolina. Hartmann tops all ACC wrestlers at 197 pounds in the rankings.
